Three Mirrors Project
The Center for the Homeless is engaging in a new social entrepreneurial program they call “The Three Mirrors Project.” This project is designed to enable guests to transition themselves back into the work setting by earning a competitive wage working with fellow guests, volunteers and staff to create three distinct styles of beautiful, functional, commercial mirrors. The mirrors will be constructed of re-purposed cork, granite tile and driftwood, and sold to national hotels, timeshare companies, universities and colleges throughout the country.
In addition to helping guests gain valuable trade skills useful in finding employment outside the Center, the project will positively impact the environment by reducing the amount of waste going into landfills. Profits from the project will go into creating innovative ways to help break the cycle of homelessness.
