Community Health Improvement Program
It was the intent of the Indiana University School of Medicine- South Bend to develop a Community Health Improvement Program (CHIP) that leveraged their longstanding community and educational partnerships to achieve deepened medical education delivery and improved community health. The cornerstone of the multi-year project was to be the introduction of a Summer Program in Community Health Innovation for medical students from IUSM-SB, and undergraduate and graduate students in health-related and other programs from nearby colleges and universities.
