Southeast Neighborhood Center
The United Way of St. Joseph County, along with community partners, is planning a new neighborhood center – the first of its kind in our county – that will serve as a replicable model in the fields of education, youth success, health, and community development while bringing new resources to the fight against poverty. Anchored by a high quality early childhood center, the new facility will also include essential on-site resources for families with children adjacent to new single-family units of affordable housing.

The Foundation, joining other local organizations, recognized the educational benefits of this new-model center, and approved a general grant to support its construction.
